About PorchfestHagerstown’s Historic South Prospect Street. The street will be closed that day from West Washington Street to the City Park Circle.
Porchfest is a free community event, organized by the South Prospect Street neighborhood group, sponsored in part by the City of Hagerstown, and local businesses. About 40 musicians play music from all genres on front porches, the main stage and at a beer garden provided by Hub City Brewery.
Hagerstown’s Music Instrument Collection program, also a key player sponsoring the event, will be accepting used band instruments at Porchfest. The nonprofit group gets them refurbished and back into the hands of local students who have a love of music.
