Setting up PayPal for your nonprofit

• Create a PayPal Business account: If you don't already have one, create a business account and select "Nonprofit Organization" as your business type.
• Verify your charity status: Follow the prompts to confirm your organization is a registered charity. You will need to provide your EIN and proof of your legal registration. This process can take up to 2 business days.
• Join PayPal Giving Fund (optional but recommended): Enroll in the PayPal Giving Fund to be part of a larger directory of nonprofits. Donations made through this fund are distributed to the benefiting charities. 
• Discounted processing fees: Verified charities get a lower transaction rate (e.g., 1.99% + $0.49)
